Wade Richards survived a rare, terminal illness twenty-nine years ago as an infant. Since then he's been regarded a medical miracle. Not feeling very miraculous as an adult, Wade lives a ordinary, less than exciting life working as an accountant near Chicago, Illinois. That is, until he and his wife are suddenly catapulted into a dangerous surfacing of family secrets that threaten to alter their lives forever.
